CANDLEPINS 4 CANCER – 90% Handicap Doubles Tournament-OCT 8

Sign ups through 9/21

Announcing a Candlepin Doubles Tournament to benefit Candlepins 4 Cancer! With our modified date of Sunday, October 8th, 2023, Agawam Bowl will host a Handicap Doubles Tournament. Qualifying shifts will begin at 12 noon and 2:30 pm. We will accept 24 teams of two bowlers, with 90% handicap, a 240 team average limit, and a maximum handicap per team of 75.

[CHANGE] Choice of Shift will be given in order of earliest paid entries. Group and number assignments will be drawn prior to the day of the event, if possible. The event will be held on the ground level, and live-streamed by Paul Grant and the Candlepin Bowling Network.

Entry fee is $100 per bowler, $200 per team, with just over 20% going directly to C4C. Each team will bowl in a 3 string qualifier, round robin within each of 6 groups. The top team from each group will advance to single game bracket elimination. Prizes based on 24 teams: 1st place $1,200, 2nd place $600, 3rd & 4th places $450, 5th & 6th places $350.

• The raffle of two Red Sox vs. Blue Jays tickets for the September 27th game will be conducted separately, drawing on September 17th due to the tournament date change, with all proceeds still going to C4C.

* UPDATE * Stacy Bloomberg was drawn as the winner of the Red Sox tickets

Candlepins 4 Cancer is a registered 501(c)(3) charity.

The first 24 paid entries will be accepted, and a waiting list established if needed. Cash, check, credit/debit card, Venmo or CashApp accepted. Please contact Jim Feeley at Agawam Bowl to register. 413-786-4108, agawambowlinfo@gmail.com, or via Messenger
