CANDLEPINS 4 CANCER – 90% Handicap Doubles Tournament, Sunday, October 8
Announcing a Candlepin Doubles Tournament to benefit Candlepins 4 Cancer! With our modified date of Sunday, October 8th, 2023, Agawam Bowl will host a Handicap Doubles Tournament. Qualifying shifts will begin at 12 noon and 2:30 pm. We will accept 24 teams of two bowlers, with 90% handicap, a 240 team average limit, and a maximum handicap per team of 75. Shift and group assignments will be drawn prior to the day of the event. The event will be held on the ground level, an live-streamed by Paul Grant and the Candlepin Bowling Network.
Entry fee is $100 per bowler, $200 per team, with just over 20% going directly to C4C. Each team will bowl in a 3 string qualifier, round robin within each of 6 groups. The top team from each group will advance to single game bracket elimination. Prizes based on 24 teams: 1st place $1,200, 2nd place $600, 3rd & 4th places $450, 5th & 6th places $350.
The raffle of two Red Sox vs. Blue Jays tickets for the September 27th game will be conducted separately due to the date change, with all proceeds still going to C4C.
Candlepins 4 Cancer is a registered 501(c)(3) charity.

JUNIOR PROGRAM for children 5 – 18 IS BACK! A short Summer session begins July 15th at 11 am.
Agawam Bowl's Junior Candlepin Bowling Program for kids ages 5-18 is held on Saturdays at 11 am, with our 2023 Summer Session running on July 15, 22 and 29, and August 5 and 26. The cost per child is just $8 per week, and shoe rentals are included. New bowlers are always accepted; please feel free to try it to see how much fun can be had.
The program is for fun and to improve bowling and sportsmanship skills. We have ICBA Certified Instructors on hand as the children bowl two games weekly, with bonus fun games and competition added. Junior bowlers who show an interest in competitive bowling will be assisted in entering youth tournaments, while all including those who just want some fun will be encouraged.
Parents and visitors are welcomed to watch and learn while the children do.

King of the Hill Tournament 8.01 September 17th @ 1 pm
Our King of the Hill for September will be held on Sunday the 17th at 1:00 pm (12:30 free warm up).
$30 entry, 80% handicap, 3 game qualifier to advance to the bracket and ladder. Andrew Therrien is the reigning King of the Hill.
The drawing for our C4C Red Sox Raffle will be held at the conclusion of the qualifying round.
